Mono Ethylene Glycol (MEG)

MEG is an essential raw material for a broad range of industrial applications. It is used to manufacture polyester resins, films, and fibers. MEG is also used to produce antifreeze, coolants, aircraft anti-icer, and deicers, and solvents. Mono ethylene glycol (also known as MEG, EG, 1,2-ethanediol, or 1,2-Dihydroxyethane) is an organic compound with the formula C2H6O2. It is a slightly viscous liquid with a clear, colorless appearance and a sweet taste that emits virtually no odor.
